Northwestern University is asking for the public's help after a professor was reported missing. School of Communication Professor Nina Kraus, 72, was reported missing by her family on Monday, the university said in anews release. She was last seen at 9 a.m. on Monday leaving her home on the 1500 block of Ashland Avenue in the Chicago suburb of Evanston, Illinois, to go for a walk, police said. Her home is about a mile away from the university. Kraus is described as 5 feet 4 inches, 140 pounds, with long silver hair and brown eyes, according to police. She was last seen wearing long pants and a windbreaker. "The Evanston Police Department is leading the search for Professor Kraus, with Northwestern University Police Department assisting," the university said. On Monday morning, police said they were flying a drone along Lake Michigan as part of a missing person investigation. It it not clear if the missing person in question is Kraus. The university and the police department are urging anyone with information on Kraus' whereabouts to contact police at 847-866-5000.
